Conference „Look and feel like metals, but design flexibility of plastics: New aspects of polymers and metal-polymer composites”

In the context of the Interreg Slovenia - Austria project  “Polymetal” we cordially invite you to the conference "Look and feel of metals, but design flexibility of plastics: New aspects of polymers and metal-polymer composites", which will take place on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Faculty of Polymers Technology in Slovenj Gradec.

Stainless steel and aluminum are still the most used materials to provide a higher aesthetic value for high-quality products (for example, household appliances, lights, sports equipment, etc.). For the production of more complex shapes, the use of stainless steel is technically demanding, expensive and time-consuming. The conference provides in-depth information on state-of-the-art and new developments in the field of plastic products with metal appearance and metal-like properties. The focus will be put on visual and haptic aspects as well as thermal conductivity.

The conference will be held in English, requires registration and is free of charge for all participants.  Please send register by e-mail ([email protected]) not later than 9. 11. 2018.

Detailed information regarding the conference program can be found here.
