Swiss-European Mobility Program: Daniel Vetter from IWK in Rapperswil visits FTPO

FTPO was pleased to welcome Daniel Vetter from the Institute for Materials Science and Plastics Processing of the University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil (HSR) from September 8th, 2018 until September 14th, 2018.

Main purpose of the visit was training and information exchange regarding the filed of characterisation of plastics, with focus on thermal characterisation like Fash DSC, TGA-FTIR connection, TGA/DSC, HotDisk and DMA.

This visit was part of the cooperation program between the University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil and FTPO. During the last two days of his stay Daniel was joined by Prof. Dr. Frank Ehrig, Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil and director of the Institut for Materials Science and Plastics Processing. During Prof. Ehrig's stay a concept for further development of the cooperation between both institutions was discussed.

Of course FTPO team took the chance to introduce our visitors to Slovenj Gradec and its beautiful environment. Among other things, we climbed Uršlja Gora and Rahtel, visited the Church of Sv. Jurij na Legnu, explored the beer fountain in Žalec and conducted a guided tour of the city center of Slovenj Gradec and the Gallery of modern arts.
