Faculty of Polymer Technology among recipients of bronze national award for innovation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia

Today, September 16, 2025, at the Innovation Day at the Brdo Congress Center near Kranj, our faculty, together with partners Additio, L.V.P., TAB-IPM, and KorX, received a bronze national award for innovation from the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS).

The award was given for the innovation "FlexProtec: an innovative shield made of recycled composite and filled with 3D-printed cellular structures for optimized protection and durability." The project combines sustainable materials, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration, offering new possibilities in the field of protective equipment.

This year's event was held under the slogan "Reaching for the sky with new technologies" and highlighted the outstanding achievements of Slovenian innovators. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia awarded 10 gold, 27 silver, and 15 bronze awards, as well as one special award for innovation challenge.

The bronze award is an important confirmation for the Faculty of Polymer Technology that our efforts in the field of research, innovation, and cooperation with industry contribute to the development of sustainable and socially important solutions.
